Our Story
Samport started in 2003 as a traditional payment service provider (PSP) in Sweden. In August 2006, Samport entered the Norwegian market and opened an office in Oslo. Today we have more than 3,000 merchant customers in the Nordic countries, and connections to more than 180 banks and institutions. Currently more than 10 acquirers are offering their services with Samport as a payment service provider.
Over the last few years we have identified payment challenges, especially those affecting banks, large merchants and system vendors. Due to steadily increasing credit card fraud, a powerful defence system was needed. Our response was to develop Samport ZEUS, an anti-fraud solution that delivers an unparalleled level of protection.
E-commerce merchants selling illegal or noncompliant products are becoming an ever increasing challenge for acquiring banks and iPSPs. As the customer stock grows, controlling their web contents effectively becomes impossible. To combat this Samport has introduced Samport SPECTER.
Combined with the Samport LETO transaction processing system, we are now able to offer a complete solution - and complete confidence - for credit card payments.
