Fraud Europe 2008 Conference in Brussels
Mikael Hedlöf, CEO at Samport and Fredrik Rehnvall, Fraud & Risk Manager at Samport had the privilege to attend the "Fraud Europe 2008" conference in Brussels the 22nd and 23rd of April 2008.
These annual meetings attract some of the most influential European fraud experts. Their contribution and in-depth knowledge combined with several panel discussions proved to be of great value in the fight against organised card fraud.
Samport held a much appreciated presentation on the topic "Card Not Present Fraud" for acquirers and PSP's. The conclusions drawn from some of the leading Risk Managers were that the move to Chip-and-Pin will shift fraud to the Card-Not-Present-Fraud area. The advanced anti-fraud system, Samport ZEUS, has a "Merchant Monitor" feature with 24/7 data mining that was of particular interest to the participants.
